Riain Lever

BSc Computing for Business

I contributed to the website by setting up a VPS to host the website, installing necessary software such as Nginx ("Engine x") for our web server, obtaining a SSL certificate and designing the website. Alongside myself, Devesh and TJ we choose a domain and purchased it.

With the guidance of my peers, I created a Logo and colour scheme which the website would follow across all pages. I also created a doccument linked above where you can see the making of our website and how it progressed over the 6 days of work we put in.

I contributed to this project by using the original research conducted previously as well as additional independent research to ensure that our solution was accurate and detailed. I had used the information that we had gathered from our report and poster as a baseline, then expanded on it further by analysing the user needs and existing platforms.

I applied this research by organising and dividing the content effectively across the website, ensuring each section was relevant, and logically structured. This helped Riain to implement these ideas through designing the website and overall functions.

I contributed to the project by being involved in important discussions relating to the website for example the decision of which domain we were going to use. I helped with reviewing content and suggesting edits where needed. I was involved during the process by providing input and feedback when required to help the team complete the project.

Vana Krpeta

I contributed to the project by assisting with small tasks during the website development. I reviewed some of the website content and provided basic feedback on the layout and structure of the pages. I also added alt text to images to support basic accessibility and checked that the navigation links between pages worked correctly. In addition, I helped organise the website files in preparation for the final submission.

Killian Greene

I contributed to the website by completing the market research. By doing this I was able to get an understanding of the value of different things such as ‘the global airline technology market’ and was able to project what the value will be in the year 2030. I used this research to find out other personas. Finally I dove into the evidence of need, to get a better understanding of how many passengers can submit claims, how much it processes and how long it takes to process.
